Our farm gives you the variety for lots of shorter or longer walks.

The home-community Kaumberg offers 52 km of greatly inviting hiking trails. On these beautyful lanes you may not only strengthen your physical fitness, but also take a break from everyday life in the middle of virgin nature.

Around our campsite you may discover many castles and convents as for example Melk, Kleinmariazell, Castle Laxenburg, Convent Heiligenkreuz, the legendary Mayerling as well as Pilgrimage church Klein-Mariazell.

Araburg

In Kaumberg the well preserved ruin castle Araburg is located. With about 800 m sea level it is the highest situated ruin of Lower Austria.

Nature and environment:

Our valley:

To the north the Wienerwald is extended, it was nominated as Biosphere Park and is a Natura 2000 area. Its oak- and beech forests are unique in Europe. The whole Wienerwald is a  nature reserve and so guarantees gentle tourism. To the south there are the Alps with the "Schneeberg" (2076 m, historical rack railroad) and the "Rax" (2007m, cable car) which provide a panoramic view deep into the Hungarian Puszta as well as the Alpine divide in the west.

Wine-taverns:

In the east you find our thermal region with many historical thermae as well as world-famous wine growing villages. So take the time for strolling through the vineyards as well as visiting the world-famous wine growing village Gumpoldskirchen. Its numerous wine taverns (Heurigen), offer all imagineable culinary delicacies.

As rounding-off the baroque city Baden invites you to summer-operettas, theatre visits as well as its popular Casino.

The extremly favourable geographical location of our campsite, just 35 km southwesterly from Vienna is of course ideal for your Vienna visits. Vienna, the heart of Europe, offers an inexpressible variety of cultural and entertaining events.

The Palace Schönbrunn, Imperial Palace, Imperial Burial Vault, the Opera, the Prater, theatres and museums, wine taverns, Klosterneuburg and many more are looking forward to your visits.

Already taking the Fiaker (horse-drawn cab) and a subsequent visit in a wine tavern in Grinzing are a unique experience.
